PS3 firmware 3.50 disables some USB peripherals, consumers report
Owners of various PS3 peripherals, including (but not limited to) the Yobo PS3 Joybox, the XCM Cross Battle Plus Adapter and the SplitFish FragFX, are reporting compatibility issues after the release of PS3 firmware 3.50. Some conspiracy theorists believe the rampant failure of these devices is linked to Sony's ongoing battle to circumvent further use of the PS3 jailbreak, which requires a USB tool to activate.
Fyygame suggests that this issue may be a side effect of Sony's discovery (and subsequent disabling) of "counterfeit" PS3 controllers. A recent consumer alert on Sony's official website states that "SCEA does not support continued functionality of counterfeit or unlicensed controllers in system software updates and these devices may cease to function in the future because of system software updates."
The Fyygame report adds that "no third-party controllers that are officially licensed by Sony" have been disabled in the latest update. Considering the affected devices haven't been officially licensed, it's unlikely that a fix will be offered. A SCEA representative told us that "SCE does not support continued functionality of unlicensed controllers."

PS3Key Tape Fix Guide
There is no light at all from the PS3Key LED while inserted in the PS3 USB slot after doing the jailbreak. Also known as the PS3Key DOA (Dead On Arrival) problem.
Disassembly
Remove the rubber back of the PS3Key as shown below, it should come off easy.
Bend out the tiny clamps holding the board (PCB) using a small screwdriver or a pair of pliers with really thin tips as seen below. The board should slide out easily once these two are bent out. Be careful not bending the clamps "back and forth" too much as they could break off.
Remove masking tape
The bottom side of the PCB can be seen here with the masking tape removed. The two clock (crystal) pins are visible. PS3Key bottom side of PCB, the masking tape has been removed from the two clock pin solder joints.
Solution
Here you can see the board after I applied the electrical tape which should be enough to prevent the pins from shorting out against the metal case. Use quality electrical tape to cover these solder joints, perhaps two layers of tape just to make sure the pins will not pierce through after wear and tear.
Done
After this just slide the board back in, carefully bend the clamps back around the PCB and push the rubber back on (sounds almost kinky).

How to use USBbreak
USBbreak is hot now. Maybe you are looking for the introduction that how to use the USBbreak. There are the introduction for you to take a look. Maybe it is helpful for you play PS3 games free.
Step 1: Remove all USB devices from PS3, make sure BD disc drive is empty. Power off the console, and connected the USBbreak to the PS3. Switch on PS3 again.
For the SLIM Model: You will also have to remove power chord before plugging in USB
For the FAT model: Switching the power off shall do.
Step 2：Press the ‘Power’ button on the console and then press the ‘Eject’ button. You should notice a beep sound from the console. If the USBbreak working properly, and the green light LED indicator of USBbreak will switch on in seconds.
