Function of R4i SDHC Card

If you play the Nintendo DS and Dsi games, you must know the R4i card that releases the limit of the Nintendo. So in law the R4i card infringes the benefit of Nintendo. But to the players, this is very good. The r4i card is designed for the Nintendo DSi, the R4i SDHC cartridge is the exact same size as a normal Nintendo DS game cartridge. The follow I will introduce the function of R4i card, please take a look.

Nintendo DS and DSi cards are cartridges used to enhance a user's experience while playing on their Nintendo handheld console. The r4i card has a new function that allows consumers to convert their DS and DSi consoles into MP3 players, movie players or even into a PDF and office document reader. They are also able to play regular games as they would have done before.

The R4i SDHC card was the first ever card under the R4 brand name to be produced for the Nintendo DSi. Cards that were previously compatible with the Nintendo DS and DS Lite video game consoles were not working with the newer DSi owing to new hardware incompatibilities. The R4i SDHC was the first R4 card to overcome this hurdle, along with the Acekard 2i and EZFlash Vi who had their products released mere weeks afterwards.

Micro-SDHC cards are supported by the R4i SDHC card up to a maximum size of 32GB. With each gigabyte of data allowing approximately eight games, that would amount to over 250 games on a single card. Most consumers use 4GB or 8GB cards to balance price against memory capacity, where there is enough room to typically store a large number of MP3s as well as a movie and some games to spare.

The cards themselves are subject to controversy, with Nintendo seeking legal injunctions against some stores selling the cards. To clarify, it is legal to own and use the cards for playing media that a consumer already owns. The best example of this is where a user has bought 20 or more games for their child and does not want to take that many cartridges on holiday, in which case a backup is a sensible solution.

It is only the act of playing games which have not legally been bought by the consumer, that is illegal. Most of Nintendo's legal actions have come against websites that claim to sell these cards with games "pre-loaded" on them, which is a direct contravention of copyright law. Websites that sell the cards blank and have legal notices stipulating what can and cannot be done with the cards, are above board.

Now you will know the most function of R4i card, if you know about the other function, you can leave a message to me. I will thank you for your suggestion.
