Insomniac doesn't think Resistance 3 will be the last in the series

Insomniac Games boss Ted Price has hinted that we haven’t seen the last of the Resistance series following the release of the third instalment on PlayStation 3 next year.

Quizzed by the chaps at Game Informer as to whether or not Resistance 3 would mark the end of the franchise, Price replied, “I don’t think so. I think Resistance 3 is a story within the Resistance universe that can be expanded upon.”

“Doors will be shut, but they won’t be slammed.”

Resistance 3 sees players hopping in to the shoes of Joseph Capelli, who’s since shacked up with former protagonist Nathan Hale’s stepsister Susan and is now trying to rescue his son and accomplish some “other” unknown mission.

The game throws in a heap of improvements over its predecessors, including the return of the weapon wheel, the ability to climb over walls and hop through windows, upgrade weapons and much more. They’ll also be a co-op campaign, though unlike Resistance 2’s it won’t feature an alternate story path.
