Kinect-compatible Gears of War in the works

Gears of War is going Kinect-friendly, supporting Microsoft’s claims that Kinect is not just a family-fun add-on, but can support the hardcore market too. This comes straight from IGN, who have the news from an unnamed but ‘reliable’ source.

The Kinect-compatible Gears of War title will be unveiled sometime in December, during the Spike TV Video Game Awards. There was no mention on whether or not Kinect support would be added to a previous version of the game, or if it would come built into the third installment of the series.

Epic Games design director, the great Cliff Bleszinski has since tweeted, “No Kinect in Gears of War 3″ which could mean we’ll be seeing an entirely new Gears of War game centered around the motion-controller.
