Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors has emerged across a variety of gaming platforms. We recently heard from the company about its plans of dishing out a new chapter from the series on the oncoming Nintendo 3DS. It has been revealed on the official Koei Warriors website that the seventh installment in the franchise is now under development for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Dubbed Dynasty Warriors 7, this iteration has been scheduled for a 2011 release in the gaming arena.
This new title introduces four new kingdoms namely Jin, Wu, Wei and Shu while unfolding its Story Mode. Touted to be ‘kingdom-based’, this mode may support only single player campaigns for allowing gamers to indulge in some historic battles of the times. Players can traverse through 15 to 25 stages for completing their journey through each kingdom. Kicking off their escapade in a friendly fortress, they can purchase new arms and interact with other characters for deeply comprehending the storyline.
Players who wish to escape the narrative for a little while can opt for the free-roam-China and create-your-own-destiny story mode. Essentially referred to as the Chronicle Mode, it also features stages based in the ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ regime. Additionally, this mode boasts of both online and offline (splitscreen) co-op as well as facilitates gamers to join a faction in specific stages.
Dynasty Warriors 7 will arrive in the Japanese market on March 10, 2011 whereas North American gamers can lay their hands on the title from March 22, 2011. This title has been slated to release in Europe on March 25, 2011 for the Xbox 360 controller and PS3 systems.
