Sony Move tops Wii's tech part2

"The Shoot" presents the on-rails light gun-esque game play that has proven successful on the Wii in titles like "Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles" and "Metroid Prime 3." Players can stroll through western saloons, an alien invasion and more Hollywood sets, taking down cardboard cutouts and avoiding civilians. The game goes beyond the light gun dynamic by requiring sideways turns of the Move to dodge incoming projectiles, and even spinning in a 360 to trigger a powerful attack. "The Shoot" is best played with the Move's red gun case, a no-frills peripheral that, unlike the Wii Zapper, actually looks like a gun.

From there, the Move's initial software lineup goes slightly downhill - literally so in "Kung Fu Rider." This wacky motion-controlled time trial race game sits a character on an office chair or warehouse cart for a ride down streets riddled with obstacles. Waving the Move up and down speeds up the racer, but this motion can instead easily register a momentum-killing jump, which is triggered with an upward flick. The general lack of finesse in controlling the racer - executing grinds is nigh impossible - trips up this Move launch title considerably.
